Virginia G. Breen

Ginnie Breen, General Partner, co-founded Blue Rock in 1995.  She currently serves on the Boards of Blue Rock portfolio companies:  Integrated Chipware, Ranch Networks, GAIN Capital, and previously, Edison Schools (Nasdaq: EDSN).  Ginnie also recently joined the Board of a publicly traded Internet holding company, CMGI, Inc. 

Ginnie worked with the Sprout Group from 1988 to 1995 and rose to the position of Vice President.  With assets under management exceeding $3 billion, Sprout Group, the venture affiliate of Credit Suisse First Boston, is one of the largest venture firms in the world.  Ginnie was an Investment Analyst with DLJ’s Investment Banking Group and, prior to that, worked as a Systems Analyst and Product Marketing Engineer at Hewlett-Packard. 

Ginnie received her MBA with Highest Honors from Columbia University and her undergraduate degree in Computer Science with Electrical Engineering from Harvard College.  Ginnie was also an International Rotary Scholar, studying philosophy in Southeast Asia. 


Terry Collison, Partner

For Blue Rock Capital, Terry Collison is a director of Open Service and a Board observer of Entigo and Ranch Networks. Terry also serves as a director of the Delaware Innovation Fund and Aviom, Inc. (digital control equipment for the music industry). He is an advisor to the Board of Accugenix (advanced microbial typing services).

Prior to forming Blue Rock Capital, Terry served as a venture advisor to private investors and venture funds, to Pennsylvania¹s Ben Franklin Partnership and other early-stage funds and private investors in the Mid-Atlantic region. He is past President of the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia. Earlier in his career, Mr. Collison was part of new venture teams at General Electric and Ford Motor Company (through a joint technology venture with MTI of Latham, NY). 

Terry lectures at the college and university level and previously served on the faculty of the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has appeared as a featured speaker at conferences sponsored by inc. MAGAZINE, the National Business Incubation Association, the Licensing Executives Society, the Association of University Technology Managers, and other organizations. 

Terry received his Master's degree in Planning with High Honors from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his B.A. cum laude from Williams College (Phi Beta Kappa).
